The Computational Models of Creativity in the Arts workshop will examine new directions in:
• the application of computational and generative methodologies in the arts and related creative disciplines
• computational approaches to creativity, cognition and aesthetics
• the application of artificial intelligence and artificial life
• the application of evolutionary and adaptive systems
• cultural applications of computing and digital electronics in general
This
workshop will bring together practitioners and researchers who are
involved in the use of computational systems in the fine and performing
arts, literature, design and animation as well as the associated fields
of aesthetics, cognitive science, art history and cultural theory.
The
public events - at Goldsmiths College and the Dana Centre, Science
Museum - will include a performance/exhibition event, curated by BLIP
and the Computer Arts Society, followed by drinks and an opportunity to
meet likeminded practitioners in this field of innovation.
