Musical interactions in collaborative mode (01/10/09)
In this talk I will present some of my recent work in interactive, live electronics. I will focus on two strands - evolving methods for 'semantic' interaction between player and computer where the system analyses the incoming signal and responds to aspects of it's musical content, and the second strand is my collaboration with multimedia dance company dans sans joux. The talk will present both the technical aspects of the programing (using pure-data) as well as some broader implications arising from working in collaborative and semi-improvised settings.
