Linear Perspective
According to Willats, 2 types:
Primary Geometry - (viewpoint, direction of projection)
Secondary Geometry - (foreshortening, make parallels converge, project circles into elipses)
Pros:
Simple and elegant solution to representing 3D on 2D image.
Cons:
Limited to one viewpoint else distortion occurs (can be used to advantage see
Holbein
).
Not all constraints between 3D and 2D satisfied - spheres projected as elipses, distortion in wide angle views.
