Animation Worksheet 3

Saving an animation from Processing

The built in processing video library contains features to save out an animation.

This is the documentation for the library:

http://processing.org/reference/libraries/video/

These are the details about saving quicktime movies from your code:

http://processing.org/reference/libraries/video/MovieMaker.html

Add this code to your animation player sketch so you can render your stop motion animation as a quicktime movie.

Be careful about the parameters you pass when you do new MovieMaker. The filename is obvious. The example automatically set the animation to be the same size as your processing screen, make sure you understand how that is done. The most important parameter is the frames per second (fps), think about what you put there.
