Using Textpad with Java in the Department of Computing Labs

This page describes how to set up your Textpad preferences to compile and run Java programs on the Department of Computing lab computers.

  1. Select the Configure menu

  2. Select Preferences

  3. Select Tools

  4. Select Add

  5. Select Java SDK Commands

Once you have followed this procedure, the options for compiling and running Java programs will appear on the Tools > External Tools menu.
