Working in space station and travelling in outer space, sexual behavior and stimulation of hormones are realistic question which cannot be avoid, in 2000, there is an experiment in Russia, 7 male astronauts and one female astronaut living in a replicas of space station for 7 months, as might be expected astronauts had a mild form of disorder such as depression, anxiety, dysphoria hypochondriasis etc.

Reproductive is a serious question in science research realm, in here, I want to hold a key word for this massive topic. Hence, the gravity is one of the whole big issue for astronauts no matter work or life. Thus, the physical model and virtual program are surround by gravity and dizziness.While this is submitted to satisfy the requirements for the module, make sure to keep it interestesting and engaging. Don't paste code, don't focus on details which are unimportant.

The purpose of making the curve based on circle and spinning is I want to exert an actual dizzy feeling when people saw this program. Expressing the core word through extending sense of feeling.

X4 Planetary / Embroidery
All the creatures are the unit of planet. The whole planetary system run according to cosmic rules. On the other hand, there are tons of constancy of laws of physics. They all exist in this universe in commensurate with their ways to keep the equilibrium of the universe. In this project, I want to dig more on the special shape or natural pattern in this world.
My first idea came from bionics, also, I’m interested in golden spirals. I did some tests about deformation of curves since I’m inspired by nature texture, this artifact was printed by Ultimaker3, it needs very compact layer height can exert this smooth result. Also, I designed the shape of 3D model in Cinema4D, revolved the skeleton of the spiral. This is the reason why each single face looks different. It took nearly 50 hours to print it out.
The curve of this contour achieved the goal which I intended to. Surface looks like wave of liquid. Every sides are connected together smoothly.
I did the same thing in victual representation compare with physical artifact, I created bunch of circle consist of points or curve, making them move towards face position, each layer iterated by itself through life span. For debugging, “a” = draw rectangle where is same as the face position. “m” = change another mode to draw the pattern. “v” = show your camera
Planetary is a gigantic topic, which means there are also the other sides worth of digging.

X3 ENVIRONMENTAL / LOTUS
“even when you go off the grid, you might still be on it”- The Jefferson Grid, environmental scale is a relevant conception, if I change a different proportion of landscape or distance which to the local geography, I can get an another complete different result of landscape. In this scale I abstract the landscape into an iridescent fluidic surface, which can interact with time and depth separately in physical object and virtual representation.
At first, I want to create an iridescent landscape with HIPS (high impact polystyrene)materials, which consists of super smooth surface, but the time limitation, I have to change my idea, so the idea of this installation pops up, I mapped the whole iridescent landscape into a box, use a special material to cover it, make it blur, which means if we cover one eyes to witness the world, the time and space might be different, the problem is not all the people and government use a macroscopic way to view the world, if you do, you might see a different world. All this installation around with a core word, light, I want to use the most natural way to represent the environmental scale, including the reflections, translucent, the routing restricts the audience was predesigned to make spectator go into the work and be part of the work, melt in the nature.
The physical artifacts in this project can be divided into two parts, the first one is interactive installation, which I want to clamp the environmental landscape into the square, when people standing far away from the object, the audience can see the obscure shape of landscape. When they get closer, the screen will change to flash light, and the light will be stronger with the closer distance.
I used ultrasonic sensor to detect distance, and transfer data back to Arduino serial monitor to control the lights. The light strip I used is neo pixels, which I can access the library in Arduino, it’s quite handy.
the second part, I want to create an immersive environment for audience to experience. When spectator get into the space, they can fell all the reflections created by the special “landscape materials” including mirror acrylic, iridescent acrylic, metal grid and aurora paper, etc. And what I am intend to do is make audience become part of the art work.
As for visual representation, I want to create an iridescent landscape, I get some inspirations from Shader sandbox, and I create a fluidic landscape Shader program which can run in http://editor.thebookofshaders.com/
This prototype printed by 3Dprinter, and I used dynamics systerm to simulate the shape.
X2 HUMAN / DESIRE
Human scale is compatible, human being as the highest level in biologic chain keeping evolving along with age, but it doesn't mean it's the strongest hierarchy, which decides new generation always progress in compare with the former generations. Desire as essentially important member of conscious mind of humanity, which can be used to demonstrate a lot of human expressions. Also it is powerful manifestation in human scale. Penis is the symbolization of human desire, generalization of the gender genital. Thus I created multiple layer of penis can be changed the angle, rotation and position at the same time according to audience head position, and my physical model is meant to be mapped of different layer of sexual characteristics.
First I created this 3D model in Cinema4D and deformed this to achieve the effect that I want, then I exported .stl file to slicer of blender. The final step was cut it off by laser butter. What I need to do is stick those slicers according to the pre-made mark in Slicer.
consequently, I chose the head position to influence the perspective of each penis, technically, I used Opencv to grab the face blob. At the same time, I loaded the images of penis, and loaded the pixels of image, read all the pixels. Changing the rotation, position especially the z-depth in commensurate with your face position.
This is a failed prototype of physical model, it made by 3D printer. Basically is was twisted and bended together and changed the direction of each one, since gender, sexuality and sexual orientation has bunch of misunderstanding and unequilibrium in our life.

I need to do more research about gender, sexuality and genital in a general area as well as in a specific computational field. This time I used cardboard as the raw materials of this project, I need to try the others, for example, iridescent acrylic, metal or aluminum, etc.

X1 MICROSCOPIC / BREAK
microscopic is extremely tiny terminology, which actual human eyes cannot visualize. In this physical artifacts, I want to extend infinitesimal to infinite, create an unbalance in this structure. Visualize microscopic, which is omnipresence and ubiquitous.
The light inside the paper indicate the dialogue between time and interspace. Though the depth breaking, there is no any restriction of micro substance and macroscopic medium. I take this “ubiquitous” as the basis for exploring ideas about experience, mediation and representation.
I made this triangulation manifestation through 24 timbers. Each one of them are different size, averaging the length between 84cm and 57cm. The most intricate part is how to join the structure together. First of all, I drilled the 3mm whole by driller and cleaned around the edge. Then, making the triangular wire of metal by the benchtop CNC wire bender, DIWIRE.
There was also bunch of issues of using software importing SVG and adjusts arguments. Finally, I ended it up with drawing round pentagram, and then I cut them for joining the timbers.
In the middle part of structure, there was a triangulation making up with tracing paper. The neo pixel lights put in there. I powered Arduino with 9V battery, which I wrote the lights strip pattern program beforehand. But there is no any interaction in here. In this project, the difference and connection between infinity and infinitesimal is more important for me to elaborate.
Regarding how to joining the wood strips, I 3d printed the chamber (figure below). It’s strong enough to connect them. In terms of structure of this installation, the ability of the shape to redistribute certain forces makes this structure really stable. People also can deform the shape as many as they like. For this structure, each side of triangle is bearing a load, which makes the whole outlet achieved equilibrium by its self without any other supporting material.
the core word of this virtual representation and physical artifacts is break and equilibrium. And I closed one way to express both of them is duplication. No matter how I duplicate the line in the figure below, it can break the original balance of the spatiotemporal substance. Besides, I created another GUI for people to generate the shape.
The ingredient of this installation can be more intricacy, I will try to fill in multiple layer of triangle, and trying to use projector instead of light strip. To find out the best way of presenting interactive space and time.
